Happy Halloween -Try out this fun and Spooky Halloween Recipe

It’s halloween and its the perfect day to make some tasty treats! We’ve picked out a fin idea for you to try at home with your kids and loved ones!!

Ingredients:

white candy coating, shortening, pretzel rods, and candy eyeballs. That’s it.

Step 1:

Start my melting white candy coating. Go ahead and use a full bag. If you’re making more than 24 or so, use 2 bags. Once melted, if the candy coating is too thick, stir in shortening a teaspoon or so at a time, until it is a smooth dipping consistency.

Step 2:

Pour the warm, melted coating into a tall, thin glass or container. The taller and thinner the container, the more dipped the pretzels will be.

Step 3:

Dip the pretzel rods in, one at a time, and place on a greased drying rack. I use shortening to grease the rack. You can place these on a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet, but your mummies will have flat bottoms. No one wants a flat bottom.

Step 4:

Drizzle the candy coating over the dipped pretzels. Don’t worry about getting the backs. Immediately press two candy eyes onto the wet drizzle. Set back on the greased drying rack to set up completely.

Final Step:

Set in containers to serve!!!
